Music school




Our music school is located at two locations in Westbury and Midsomer Norton.

We have several teaching rooms at both locations.

Lessons are suitable for ages 5-100.

Our shop in Westbury has a cafe with excellent coffee, tea andcake for anyone that wishes to wait.


Fees
Starting at just £15 per lesson, (£60 a month) for a weekly fixed slot lesson. We opened our music school with the principle to provide a quality teaching service to all at an affordable price. 

Single vouchers may be purchased at £18 per voucher for a single booked 30 minute lesson.


Bookings

Need to cancel a booking? As long as we have received confirmation of your cancellation 24 hours before your lesson date we can rearrange it for another date and time. Lessons cancelled on day will not be able to be rebooked. Any free trial lessons that are cancelled on day will be lost and future lessons will have to be booked as voucher sessions. Cancelled in advance lessons are held for 6 weeks and must be rebooked before this time expires or the lessons will be forfeited. 


Exams
We are an Exam Centre for both ABRSM and Rock School as well as Trinity Rock and Pop. At present we run 2 sessions per year for each exam board. Please contact us for fees and closing dates.

 

We are pleased to offer music tuition with a view to entering students for graded exams through RSL Awards.

Rockschool offer qualifications in Piano, Keys, Electric, Acoustic and Bass Guitar, Ukulele, Vocals, Drums, Music Theory and Music Production. Each grade is recognised by all the UK regulatory bodies with grades 6 – 8 carrying UCAS points to bolster university applications.

RECORDING STUDIO
Our newly equipped recording studio is now available for booking. Drum kit, PA + piano included in this hire fee. Our studio engineer is available for an additional charge.

David S
Highly experienced patient and empathic teacher from beginner to advanced level. David teaches all ages and also suited to adult beginners/returners. INSTRUMENTS TAUGHT: Classical Guitar(Grade 7) Acoustic Guitar (intermediate) Violin(Grade 4). Beginner: Piano Bass Mandolin Ukulele and Theory
Lily
Lily is a gentle and patient teacher with a very calm teaching method. She is currently studying music at Cardiff University and is working towards her diploma in Flute. Lily is part of a Symphony Orchestra as well as a Symphonic Winds Band and Flute Choir and has previously played in a Gamelan Ensemble. INSTRUMENTS TAUGHT: Flute (Grade 8) Piano (Grade 6) Bassoon (Grade 5) Theory (Grade 5)
Neil
Neil is a very approachable and friendly teacher with a highly professional background. Neil regularly performs all over the country and has masses of experience as a session drummer in live and recording settings. INSTRUMENTS TAUGHT: Drum (pro level/ grade 8 )
Tracy
Tracy has lots of experience teaching young children having trained and worked as a primary school teacher and run preschool music classes. Equally she has lots of patience and empathy with adults returning to or taking up an instrument in later life. Tracy enjoys teaching classical music but will embrace any style a student wishes to learn. She has a methodical organised approach and prefers using printed music. INSTRUMENTS TAUGHT: Flute (grade 8) Piano (Grade 5) Sax (Grade 5 or 6) Theory (Grade 5)
Toby
Toby is an energetic inspiring and versatile teacher great for all ages. Toby is confident with exam students and has performance experience.
Archie H
Archie Harvey is a fun Friendly and skilled teacher who started learning guitar at All Instruments I am currently studying music performance in guitar at BIMM Bristol I play in many bands and gig regularly. I have experience in many different styles of music and enjoy teaching all ages and abilities. Instruments taught- Guitar (grade 8) Bass (grade 4) Ukulele (Grade 6) Drums (Begginer)
Joseph
Joseph is a classical pianist and was taught by alumni of L`ecole normale de musique Paris conservatoire founded in 1919 by students of Chopin. Joseph has experience of classical performance and is perfect for students of all ages from beginner to Diploma/Concert level. Joseph is currently studying a Master`s Degree in Music Performance and he is an Associate of the Royal Schools of Music.
Ben T
Ben is a patient laidback and fun-loving person. He teaches from beginner to intermediate level and tries to tailor lessons to the student to get the best out of them with no expectations. He has a HND in Electric Guitar from BIMM (Brighton) as well as a BA Hons in Music & Sonic Media. Instruments taught: Electric/Acoustic Guitar (Grade 5); Ukulele (Grade 2/3); Bass (Grade 2/3); Drums (Grade 1/2). Ben also has experience in live performance & sound production.
Paul H
Paul is an experienced and versatile teacher who is great at teaching all ages. He is able to teach a wide range of styles and tailors his lessons to you. As well as graduating with a degree in popular music from the `ACM in Guildford` Paul is an experienced performer and recording artist who has played many venues world wide including the Royal Albert Hall. He has also released two solo albums with a third on the way.
Jon B
Jon performs regularly as a piano soloist accompanist and in ensembles. He has been awarded the LTCL diploma in piano performance by Trinity College. Jon also plays French horn in orchestras and wind ensembles and is an occasional organist in local churches. He enjoys helping students of all ages get the most out of their piano studies and teaches beginners to beyond Grade 8. He also offers tuition in musical theory and beginner brass.
